Boys Will Be Boys!!!

My precious little two year old boy has recently taken to head-butting as a way to show affection!! This is the way he chose to show his sister that he loved her after school today. Carington asked for a kiss and got a head-but instead followed by a hearty laugh by a certain 2 year old boy. He then chose to chunk his "issy bus" at her and hit her in the cheek. I scooped him up and popped him on the bottom and took the "issy bus" away for the rest of the day. I felt bad for her, she really cried...the bus is metal and I know it hurt her cheek. I think we've only just begun....

Carington's Baptism...January 4, 2009

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16
"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" Romans 10:9
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 6:23

There is no happier a moment for a parent than when their child accepts Christ as Lord and Savior. In December 2008 that moment came for Carington Paige Morris. Becoming a Christian had been an ongoing conversation with Carington for about the past 3 years. It was neat to see the Holy Spirit really begin to work in her heart the last few months as she really realized that she was indeed a sinner and if she died she would not spend eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. Before going to bed she told her daddy that she was ready to ask Jesus into her heart...so Robert lead her in a prayer as she asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior.
We were so thankful that she was able to be baptized at our home church, FBC Tulsa while we were home for the Christmas holidays. All 3 sets of grandparents were able to attend and people who had watched her grow up and had a part in her spiritual life were able to be there. Our pastor and friend, Deron, gave Robert the special opportunity to baptize Carington!! A moment we will treasure forever! The candle you see our pastor holding in one of the pictures was given to Carington in remembrance of her baptism date and as a reminder to light it on January 4th every year to always remember the special day in her life.

Weather in Singapore

The weather here in Singapore has been absolutely beautiful since we returned! And if I remember correctly it seems it was the same this time of year last year when we first moved here. You could best describe it as comfortable or bearable :)!!! The humidity seems to be down a bit...there's a wonderful tropical breeze blowing almost daily and it's just FUN to be outside! I won't "rub" it in too much since I saw on the Channel 6 website that there is an Arctic Cold front headed Oklahoma way!! If you are seriously considering visiting us while we are here in Singapore I'd suggest this time of year if it fits with your schedule. Just pack your flip-flops, swimsuit and sunscreen and know there's a bed waiting for you at the Morris house!!!

Carington and Brady

Carington getting ready for school in the morning! She was cold so I gave her my robe to wear! I can tell she's growing up as she becomes more and more aware of her appearance and taking care of herself.
"Read books-da-da"!! Brady will say...or "sit mommy, sit mommy" (or whoever he wants to read)...he'll then turn around backwards and back up into your lap (so cute)!! Being a former 1st grade teacher I am sooo thankful that he likes to read books...being a boy I wasn't too sure if he'd be that interested or not! Carington would sit for a looong time and let you read to her or look at books and she loves to read to this day! So I'm glad to see my little boy enjoy the same!!!

Brady James Burton Morris

This is bubba's favorite way to watch his "sho's" (shows)!! Little Einstein's and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are his favorites! He will stop dead in his tracks for these and lay completely still while they are on!!

Brady was being oh, so quite...and look what he found!!!!

Meant to post these pictures before we left for the holidays but didn't get it done and they are too cute to not post!!!

From "aha-ma's" to "airpanes"...

in the 17 days that we were back in the States for Christmas Brady's speech has improved dramatically!! My sweet little boy LOVES airplanes and up until now he has called them "aha-ma's" but during our time home he now says the correct name for them "airpanes"...kind of makes me a bit sad.
We had a wonderful time at "home" and I have some pictures to post and stories to tell.
***2 momentous occasions happened in the lives of our childern...Brady turned 2 on December 27th and Carington was baptized on January 4th. I'll post pictures and share stories soon!!!
